Watering & Soil

Hibiscus likes moist, well-drained, and loamy soil. Hardy varieties of hibiscus plants can also perform in wet soil where other plants might not able to survive. Most of the Hibiscus varieties like acidic soil except rose of Sharon which prefers alkaline conditions.
Hibiscus requires daily water to produce plentiful blooms. In the winter season reduce the watering of plants.

Fertilizer

Use fertilizer high in potassium and nitrogen at the start of the blooming season to help hibiscus produce plentiful flowers.

Specialty

Hibiscus has a large discernible trumpet-shaped flower from 4-18 cm broad with five petals or more. Its flower comes in colors of white, pink, red, blue, yellow, and purple depending upon the species of hibiscus. Its flowers are also used in making tea both hot and cold.
